Welcome to the Astronomy section of my website... finally properly gotten underway, and hopefully it’ll also help you get started in this hobby as well..

I’ve been doing this on & off for a number of years now, probably since maybe 1986 when I failed to see Halley’s Comet when it was mean’t to be around at the time... and I also have vague recollections of what I guess must have been Lunar / Solar Eclipses.

Most people probably have a bit of an interest in it when looking up at the Moon for instance..... or wandering somewhere after dark (especially in Winter when it gets dark early), and wondered what the hell that bright shiney star thing over there is (most probably a planet like Mars, Venus or Jupiter).

I guess my main area of interest is looking at Jupiter, the Moon + the Constellation of Orion, and maybe also Mars, Venus + Comets when available.
